The cross-party MPs who make up the All Party Group on
Outsourcing and Shared Services have made a call for evidence
illustrating how outsourcing and shared services can increase
efficiency in the public sector.
The National Association of Outsourcing commented: "the Group
believes that a deeper look into the potential of outsourcing and
shared services to help deliver savings across the public sector
would be welcomed by the Coalition."
Channel 3 Consulting have managed a range of outsourcing
projects on behalf of our NHS clients and have submitted
information to the Group on one of our most recent programmes of
work:
the managed outsource of Barnet, Enfield and Haringey Mental Health
NHS Trust's IT service to HP.
By looking at the evidence submitted, the Group is hoping to
pull together common themes of successful outsourcing programmes to
create a best practice guide for procurement officials and
Government departments.
